Handling Customers
From Bikerowiki
1. Introduce yourself and ask how you may be of assistance.
2. Explain Bikerowave rates and services available.
3. Have the customer sign in on the SIGN-IN SHEET.
4. Make sure the customer reads the posted SHOP RULES.
3. Assist the customer in setting up his/her workspace. Workstand, truing stand or other.
4. Make sure the customer knows where to find tools and lube/degreasing products.
5. Guide and assist the customer with his/her project. DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF. Let customer attempt every task on his/her own. If the customer is performing a task in the wrong way, demonstrate how to do it properly.
6. Once the project is completed (or fifteen minutes before shop closing), have the customer clean up his/her workspace and replace all tools that were used.
7. Have the customer sign out on the SIGN-IN SHEET.
8. At this point, the volunteer working the counter must tally time spent on the project and all parts that were used from the shop and have the customer pay total amount due.
